This is a call for papers to be presented at the 2001 meeting of the VPA, to be held at Hollins University in Roanoke, October 19-20.

Papers, which may be on any philosophical topic, should be no more than twenty pages long and should require no more than forty minutes to read. Shorter papers are most welcome.

Three copies of the paper with a detachable title page and no references identifying the author, along with a 50-150 word abstract, should be sent by June 30, 2001 to:

Alternatively, you may submit your paper electronically. Following the specifications above regarding title page and abstract and using Word 97 formatting, send your paper as an e-mail attachment to Professor Downey at jdowney@hollins.edu.

If you are interested in commenting on a paper, please send a copy of your CV and a letter identifying your area of expertise to the above address by July 15, 2001.

Hope to see you on October 19-20 at the beautiful campus of Hollins University!
